Prerequisites
Access to the Bevatel dashboard with necessary permissions to add channels.
A valid Outlook or Microsoft 365 email account.
Two-factor authentication enabled on your Microsoft account (if required).
If you have two-factor authentication enabled on your Outlook account, you’ll need to generate an app password to connect it with Bevatel.
Go to the Microsoft Account Security page and sign in.
Click on Advanced security options.
Under App passwords, click Create a new app password.
Copy the app password shown, as it will be used instead of your regular Outlook password.
Log in to your Bevatel account.
In the left sidebar, navigate to Settings then Channels.
In the Channels section, select Email to add a new email channel.
Choose IMAP as the protocol.
Fill in the required information as follows:
IMAP Server Address: outlook.office365.com
Port: 993
Login: Enter your Outlook email address (e.g., your-email@outlook.com
).
Password: Enter the app password if you generated one in Step 1.
Enable SSL: Ensure this option is checked for secure communication.
Click Update IMAP Settings to save your configuration.
If you encounter an error, double-check the following:
Ensure the IMAP server and port number are correct.
Verify that SSL is enabled.
Confirm that you are using the app password if two-factor authentication is active on your Outlook account.
Troubleshooting: If you receive an error, try re-entering the login details and password. Ensure there are no extra spaces or typos in your credentials.
Changing Your Password: If you change your Outlook password in the future, you’ll need to update it in Bevatel’s IMAP settings for continued access.
App Password Expiration: If Microsoft requires a new app password in the future, repeat Step 1 to generate a new one and update it in Bevatel.
